Ten years ago, the main features of mobile devices were\u00a0<\/span>straightforward<\/span>: you would make or receive calls, maybe a few text messages, and the first owners of a somewhat more evolved device, like the good old BlackBerry, could even access their email.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nowadays, a mobile device\u2019s telephone features have fallen to the wayside. Think about it<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>when they reveal their latest models, manufacturers no longer\u00a0<\/span>make<\/span>\u00a0mention\u00a0<\/span>of\u00a0<\/span>these features! Instead, they put the focus<\/span> on other features that have little to do with telephone services: camera, independence, display size<\/span>, etc.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This shift can be explained by the fact that users now\u00a0<\/span>find these new features\u00a0<\/span>more\u00a0<\/span>appealing.\u00a0<\/span>And there\u2019s more: tens of thousands of mobile apps turn the smartphone in your pocket into a tool for creating, sharing, paying, and browsing<\/span>\u00a0(<\/span>b<\/span>oth online and on the road, thanks to the built-in GPS features)<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\n\n\n

Natur<\/span>ally, once they get to work, these people hope their employer will take these details into consideration when signing an agreement with a supplier who will offer mobile services adapted to this reality<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Whereas more and more employees would prefer bringing their own device (you know,\u00a0<\/span>BYOD<\/span>!<\/span>),<\/span>\u00a0they still hope to enjoy a mobile and digital connection anywhere, anytime<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For employers, this means the phone is more than just a simple communication tool for their employees, and\u00a0<\/span>it\u00a0<\/span>can even\u00a0<\/span>be used as an incentive<\/span>!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Mobile devices can have a mobilizing effect, and employers can cash in on this, depending on their desire (or\u00a0<\/span>non desire<\/span>) to implement a BYOD business strategy<\/span>\u00a0(<\/span>known as\u00a0<\/span>personally owned device that is corporately enabled).<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In this respect, the employer has 3 choices:<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n
